Our story
Our dad’s bakery, back in the oven.
Our dad started True-Life Foods in 1986. It was his dream. He faced more problems than one business could carry, and in the end the bakery had to close.
We grew up with that name. Bringing it back has always been our dream, and now we are doing it: as a family bakehouse, under the name he chose, with everything his years taught us about how a bakery should be run.
Some things have not changed since 1986. Good bakes still go stale in a day, labels are still hard to read, and deliveries still come whenever.
So we are rebuilding his bakery around a few promises. We bake through the night, so everything is hours old. We print the baked-on date on every bag. We use honest ingredients, including grains grown here. And we deliver when we say we will.
Family bakeries in other countries have been part of everyday life for generations. We want to build that for Nigeria, with Nigerian tastes: coconut, cinnamon, groundnut and the soft sliced loaf everyone grew up with.
